Sad update, the runt of the whistling ducklings has passed. It was weak to begin with.
On a positive note, in my wildlife rehabbing experience, a survival rate of 1 out of 4 wild is a good record, so we are still way ahead of the game.
Oh, and the neighbors behind us have three chickens and the kennel is about 5 ft away from the fence so their chickens and our ducks visit through the fence. LOL
25 years ago in North Carolina we had a pre-civil war home on 48 Acres with 9 out buildings , including a chicken coop. Ameraucanas were on my radar but they didn't happen.
