    They don't care I clean once a week but change the boxes once a month. They are very curious when I'm done I think they like to poke around in the boxes and check out the new bedding I fill mine with pine shavings

    .Hi newburt I just got this feeder at tracktor supply its made by Harris Farms Hanging Feeder, 10 lb It has little dividers so they cant throw their feed around it has totally solved my wasted feed problem

    I have a bungy hanging from a tree and I hook the lettuce head on it I have never had any problems with them getting cought up in it

    Like flockkeeper my pine tar is not thick. Duct tape seems like it wouldn't let the skin get air but its deffinetly worth a try. Thanks for the tesponse

    I am having the same problem. I have a hanging feeder that I raised to shoulder height of chickens and didn't make a difference wasted feed every where.
