Is there anyone on here from the Columbia area? My husband and I are considering a move to that area and need to know if they allow chickens or have any type of rules against them. We are open to the Culleoka and Mount Pleasant area hoping to be able to get established there. I would...

Can I put my chicks out during the day?

We have been keeping out chicks outside since they were about four weeks old. At first we brought them in at night and then we moved them to the tractor that our other chickens had been living in. Now they stay outside all the time and it has been great for them. They are now six weeks old...

I am also sorry to hear about your loss. I never thought I could grow so attached to chickens, and I dread the day that something happens to one of my girls, but I also know that it is inevitable.
