    Adding a New Girl?

Is it ok for her to eat the layer pellets when she finally joins the flock? I was planning on getting a sm bag of grower for her, then crossing her over to the big girl food.

    Adding a New Girl?

Thanks! I have a tractor in the yard, so I could put the new girl in the tractor & let the others hop all over it if they want to. I just didn't want her to get lonely.

    8 week-old chickens won't roost

I have 5 chickens and they all just smash into a nesting box at night instead of using the roost (2x2 inch wooden roost, square). Is this a concern or will they learing it on their own?
