Two of my 3 pullets decided to synchronize their first egg laying today (both are nearing 21 weeks of age).
Didn't get them in the nesting boxes but at least they were inside the coop.
No gutter on the run side of the roof? I have a similar design (but smaller) and decided to put a gutter on the back of the coop, else my run would be soaked with rain water. But then again I also covered half of my run (Seattle rain).
Does anyone artificially 'warm' their mealworm living quarters. I'm using the 3 drawer Sterlite method and am keeping them indoors but would really like to keep the temperatures in the mid to upper 70's for them (my house room temperature is below 70). I was thinking of getting a small reptile...
Currently 13 weeks old (born near the end of May).
Non-aggressive rooster, has been handled quite a bit. Also gets along with my dog and cat.
Can't keep him due to city ordinance.
This is what I did to prevent feed spillage on the end of my whye. I just cut a 3" piece of the sewer pipe into a U shape and added it to output angle of the whye.
12 weeks old. Was listed as an Ameracauna by the feed store where I bought her.
Not certain is she is a Roo or a Hen at this point. She is my biggest chicken so far and periodically will crow a little.
