After a few years of rescuing hens and in the last 3 years rescuing nearly 2,000 hens and rehoming them (because they are no longer commercially viable), I started the Charity, 'Who Gives A Cluck'. I keep the hens that are not healthy enough to be rehomed so encounter quite a few illnesses. I've learnt alot over these last 3 years and keep learning. I come across symptoms that can be explained but not necessarily correct diagnosis as there can be so many diseases that have the same symptoms. I want to share what might be happening to a hen and see if anyone else has experienced these symptoms so I can learn more about caring for them and alternate treatments.
