I am purchasing 2 baby chicks from a local breeder and he said he would sell me a Silkie hen withe them. If i give the chicks to the mother to raise would this be okay?

I dont think so nobody picks on her and she gets a lot of food. She is on the bottom of the pecking order though i think.

My Easter Egger is about 7 months old and in about July stopped laying. Why would she stop laying?

I live in central New Jersey and i am looking for the breeds above. I would like all females. I was also wondering if anybody knew if you can sex silkies as baby birds. If anybody is selling orpingtons and one of the other breeds please respond. looking for local only. Thanks for any information.

I am looking for buff orpingtons, brahmas,and silkies in central NJ. Want females and was hoping for day old to 1 week old. I am NOT aloud roos so MUST only have females. I dont want to ship chicks so i want to get them locally. I am hoping for 3 or 4 at least 1 of each. Please any information...
