    thanks so much! I was able to remove the cap of the egg and discovered the legs were wrapped round the open area, blocking its ability to get out. I gently urged it along and all seems well.... Exciting!

    would you suggest we intervene? is there "danger" to leaving it too long in that thank you...so just gently "finish the zip" by pulling on the egg to 'break it off?"

    Newbie question. Incubated chicken batch. Only active egg thus far Pipped at 3:30pm Eastern yesterday (18hrs). Active, zipped 3/4 around, shell is broken nicely, beak coming through. Membrane is hard and tan colored, but is broken. Chirping regularly. Seeing attempts to push out...but its...
