    I lost track of replies on here but this chicken actually survived! The veg we touched base with was stumped but did think it was prolapsed trachea from respiratory illness. The hen is doing fine 1 year later now

    Is it just the comb that makes you think cockerel for the first one? It appears more red in the picture than it does in person. Or is there feathering you see that makes you think that as well?

    It has since gone back in her beak but we have seen it back out when she sneezes. There’s no chance of swelling going down/things going back to normal?

    Has anyone with this suspected swollen/prolapsed trachea had their chicken survive or does it keep recurring ? Currently have a chicken presenting like this. She started yesterday with a few sneezes then escalated very quickly
