    We took the chance on a polish, who the seller felt confident they could sex, and ended up with a cockerel. We’re in the central Florida, winter haven area. I don’t mind driving a bit to find him a good home. We just can’t have roosters because of the close proximity of neighbors.

    Actually the Rural King in Lake Wales, FL. We just wanted the Columbian Wyandotte and Ameracauna, but saw Penedesenca straight run and decided to take a chance in hope of getting some dark brown eggs.

    It’s a fairly developed comb, but it is completely yellow.

    Not quite sure if our 7 week old Penedesenca Coco is a Hen or Roo. If she didn’t resemble the pics I find on the internet of Penedesenca hens, I’d say definitively that’s a rooster. I’ll leave it up to the more experienced eyes!
