They are now 5 weeks old and I think I might have 4 roos and 1 hen :(... curious on others thoughts.
Banty -> roo, based on comb but not as assertive as the others
MissPrissy -> roo, most developed comb and pick on others
Henery -> roo, comb larger but not as red as other, behaviour

I just noticed one of my chicks has an extra toe, the lady I got hatching eggs from said there is some silkie crossed hens in her flock. All the eggs I got were unknown barnyardmixes and this chick can out of a bluer egg. Can I assume this chick came from one of the silkie cross hens or is this...
So awesome! We hatched Travis and her clutch mates last April using an incubator, so she is a year old too! So this year we thought to give her a chance at being a mama!
Came home at lunch today to one cute fluffy chick and then another three after work! Looks like one more egg pipped and the other two no action so far! Here are the chicks!
I candled on day 8 and here are the photos would love any feedback. Numbered to match numbers in previous posts.
In general it was hard to see with the darker shells but also the veining seemed less obvious then when I have hatched in the incubator before.
My plan is to just leave them all...
