The full list is: (2) Barred hollands, (8) black blue or splash orpingtons, (2) black shamo, (2) black penedescenca, (1) dark grey dorking, (6) norwegian jaerhons, (1) spangled russian orloff (1) white crested black polish and (2) Fillers
According to that list I lost 2 jaerhons, 3 orps, and 1...
Silver penciled Rock...interesting. I will have to look into that more but a quick google search seems like that doesn't line up for the pullet (not pictured). I will try to get a picture of her and the cockerel together.
And yes lots of brown in the feathers of one of the cockerels. I haven't...
Ah what you built is so beautiful! We definitely don't have the time or skill right now but long term we want to build something permanent. After the remodel...and when the kid is in school...
We are zone 7 and I know others here have unheated greenhouses, but we get strong storms so what you...
Its our first year on the homestead and we are looking to get a greenhouse. We would love to DIY it but with DH working full time, our two year old, and a house remodel starting in February I just need to accept that I can't take on more. Especially since we've never built anything like that...

The list says two Barred...

(1) Black Penedescenca- Black Minorca-like chicken...
I already posted a new thread this weekend, but never properly introduced myself...
My husband and I just bought his grandparent's 13 acre farm in WNC in the summer of 2017. He works full time and I tend to the land while caring for our two year old. We have big dreams but are starting out very...
Thank you for the warm welcome and all the ideas! I live in WNC and it is VERY wet here. I am leaning towards the DLM but the patio pavers is a great idea too. I am used to having a coop I can disinfect twice a year so the dirt floor is new to me. We have several stalls in the barn so I think...
I am looking to convert a stall in our barn to a coop, and am seeking advice on the existing dirt floor. I feel like I have a handle on everything else as I've kept chickens before (wood with straw bedding) but I am really not sure how to approach the dirt floor. Loose, powdery dirt that will at...
