    That's good to know, when we were in Iowa with our larger flock we had 10 layers and 12 boxes. They used them at random and never shared, so with that experience I wasn't sure! Thank you for your advice! We settled on 4 boxes so they should have plenty room!

    Thank you! We only have room right now for 6 girls, what a huge change it is from farm to city. But we are so happy to have our chicks. 2 americaunas, 2 buff orpingtons, 1 barred rock and 1 speckled Sussex! They are all so sweet and eating right from my hand.

    This is my second time around on BYC. We had a flock of lovely ladies in Iowa, but moved back home to Kansas last year and had to rehome them We are finally able to start up a new flock, sooner than we imagined and much smaller but it's a start! SO glad to be back!
