Thank you. This was the worst clutch I had to experience so far. Out of 10 eggs, 1 was a dud, 2 developed but didn’t hatch, 5 suffocated under their mom, 1 was horribly injured and passed, 1 survived. This lone chick will be a very special one.
ok thanks. I have that but in a bottle form, and a scoop inside it. I was able to hold the last poultry cell bottle at the store, But she’s getting weeker and won’t stand on her own anymore. So I think she’s on her way out. I will keep trying though.
is there an alternative to nutri-drench That is usually available in feed stores like the red store? Forgot if we’re allowed to mention store names here or not. But is there? No one seems to have nutri-drench in stock.
Edited to ask. Is Sav-A-Chick an alternative? Currently she’s taking Duvret...
Thank you. Yes, we put neosporin on the wing as well. The wing looks no where as bad as the neck 🤦🏻♂️...she’s still drinking very well on her own. Very off balance though. I fed her just now for the third time. I’m feeding her souped up chick starter, with a syringe.
I applied with neosporin and bandaged up and will keep inside until hopefully regains strength and starts growing, id rather the hassle of introduction to the flock than losing the chick.
Edited to ask. Should I set up the heat lamp for it? Or would the heat be bad for the cut? I’m using a...
vet isn’t an option. I sprayed with vetrycin is all i did to eat. You can see the esophagus but not directly. There’s flesh before it, but you can tell the shape..I’ll take pictures as soon as I could. The chick is under the mom.
2 day old chick attacked by hen (not his mom). Hurt his wing (which can heal, not a big deal), but she slit his throat, I can see inside of his neck, the inside is intact. The skin is slit and showing inside. Am I explaining this correctly? The chick is not eating on its own anymore after the...
