My mom needs some hatching eggs for her second grade life cycles unit. The chickens will then come to live at my house. I was wondering what types of fertile eggs are available in the area?
Thanks,
Kari
I have these two hens that like to hide their eggs. I usually find them within two days, but they "got me good" this time. I just found a stockpile. The eggs are only seven days old, and it hasn't been hot out. Can we still eat them?
That is as close as they will let me get. We adopted them, so we couldn't control their upbringing. They are very flighty. She does stand very upright, so I don't think the sumatra is all the way correct. She also has that tuft on her head.
I figured it out... She is just a really weird looking red sex link chicken (She lays very pretty huge eggs)...I'll have a doozy for all of you tomorrow. I have five "wild" chickens. They were rescued and donated to me.
I never saw the eye worms on my chickens, but I did see the bubbles and they smelled. VetRx is the name... I drew a blank earlier. I used it by pressing up with a Qtip soaked in VetRx on the pallet and it made the eye of the chicken bubble more and then I could clean the eye with a rag. I did...
