At our house, we're all about bantams and eggs. We raise a small flock in a small-lot, close-neighbors setting. Our girls need to earn their keep one way or another (producing eggs, raising chicks, bug patrol, being so adorable that the kids fall in love with them), but they need to keep from tearing up the yard too much in the process.
