    I haven't had a mean one yet. I handle them as much as I do the hens so they aren't terrified of people. None of them come to me and they don't like being picked up but they aren't aggressive towards people at all. I have a OE, EE and Marans.

    Odd wing on chick

    I have a hatchery deleware chick whose wings stick out like this too. I was feeling her wing and it feels like the joint/bones are the cause because they sick out too. I guess she was just born with it?

    Baby Chick with missing toenail

    I recently purchased some hatchery Delaware chicks and one is missing 4 of her toenails she seems to be doing fine without them so far. Will it effect her later when she scratches around the yard?
