Help! What is this white stuff on her comb

I’ve never seen this on any of my girls and this appeared within the last 24 hours. It almost looks hairy

Can anyone tell me if any of these are frizzled silkies?

I got these from a girl who has both frizzle/standard silkie hens& roosters. We’ve had them about a month and a half now & I’ve never had a frizzle so I can’t tell. I’ve included a lot of pics

    Best breed to attack hawks

I lost a bunch of chickens to a hawk once fall came and all of their cover was just sticks instead of leaves and bushes. We built a run but plan on letting them free range again come spring. I plan on getting a “guard goose”. We did everything, fake owls, scarecrows, blasting the radio, CD’s...

    Prolapse eggbound no opening

I started my account to make that post too. I’m so sorry that you are dealing with this it’s heartbreaking. I hope that because you got her to the vet sooner than we did, that she will make a full recovery. Please keep me posted. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for your girl💜

    Day old chicks during winter

So I have a silkie that’s been broody about a month now. I had the bright idea to order day old chicks to swap out with her eggs in hopes that she’ll adopt them. I didn’t take into account that I got larger breeds, 7 of them and my hen is tiny. Our coop is wrapped with plastic but it’s cold in...

What predator rips off chicken heads

We do, I’m going to keep them in for now and borrow a live trap from my neighbor tomorrow hopefully I can catch it and relocate it. It’s going to be a few weeks before my husbands home and able to build a run so im sure ill have some very cranky chickens, better cranky than dead I suppose.

What predator rips off chicken heads

Thank you! I’m so upset it was my favorite silkie too, I found her 2 other babies hiding under my shed I believe she probably died protecting them

What predator rips off chicken heads

I am at a total loss and beyond heart broken. On Friday one of my 12 week old chicks was eaten by a predator, today her mom had her head ripped off by what I assume was the same predator. We free range and live in the country. I have never had issues with predators before and this is new...
