Hey there! I did trial fit my turkey eggs and they seemed to fit in the trays. I can't speak for how many will fit in each row though, because both of my maticoops are full right now 😂 I will say I suspect you'll have to do the eggs laying down vs standing up, because they may knock into the...
I may have also decided screw it and ordered the Maticoopx as well to run side by side with my silkie eggs in it 🫣 So when it comes in I will share photos of how turkey eggs fit lol.
I bit the bullet and ordered the NR 360. I figured worse that happens is I hand turn eggs for a few days if I have to order a bigger turner. These aren't shipped eggs, are you saying this is machine is best for shipped eggs? 🤔 or maybe typo? Lol.
I showed someone I know who has a maticoop, my...
Hi all. I have spent the last few days reading thru all of these posts before finally jumping on an incubator to purchase. I was just curious if anyone knows if any of these can handle turkey eggs? I can tell the maticoopx won't but it's currently still in the running as my pick for purchase...
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on an incubator that can handle turkey eggs? I am currently buying a Maticoopx for my chicken eggs but I am pretty sure turkey eggs won't fit in it's rails. Plus, I'd like a dedicated turkey incubator. Anyone have a tried and true? Preferably...
Thanks. I'm still giving him/her some time! I unexpectedly ended up with the breeding group (3 hens/1 roo) this little babe came from this week, so I guess now I have many chances for another pullet in the future! 😂
Thanks all, they're here to stay for a little longer either way, so I guess only time will tell. I will be so sad if it's a boy, but it's been a rough year of all the roo's for us anyways 😅 so I wouldn't be even remotely surprised.
Interesting observation. I will definitely keep my guard up a little longer then - haha. It does not have the same attitude as a clear roo OE I have of the same age. But time will tell 😬
Hi all I have this chick that is truly throwing me. They were hatched out approximately May 21st, and came from a breeding pen that had Red Laced Blue Wyandottes and a Black Laced red wyandotte in it. I figured big red face is a boy, but I know wyandotte patterns aren't usually as showy on boys...
This definitely depends on the season for us. During the winter, all my chickens are kept in the coop at night and I clean weekly to every other week. I like to keep it maintained since they're in it every night, but I don't clean it daily so it stays nice and warm - lol. Once it warms up though...
Okay, it looks like my local TSC has the safeguard in stock.. Question about that though, if I treat her I know I should treat the others she is directly with. But do I also need to treat my other chickens? The "babies" are kept in a pen seperate from the older birds within their chicken yard...
Checked for mites, never saw anything the few times I checked. And so far we look clear from the lice scare after the treatment.
I have never dewormed, but am actively researching my options on how to do so currently. I've only had my entire flock since March of this year, with different ones...
