    Broken Beak!!!!!

I'm not sure about your seven year old, I would think old age plays a factor. Don't they have a life span of 5 years?

    Broken Beak!!!!!

Glad someone answered this earlier, as she will easy three softened food. She did a couple sunflower seeds as well. It looks like it hurts her to eat the regular food. Thank you for helping me to save betty. How long will I need to feed her softened food? I'm just wondering.

OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

When we created our chicken run area we were prepared. We have hawks and eagles around, we did the entire run area with hardware cloth. It overlaps around the top. The cloth also got barried with cement patio blocks all the way around the run.

    Hello from southrn Ohio

Ok, I've had these chicks since March. They've been laying eggs just fine till this weekend. I found two really small eggs (I've seen acorns bigger). Do I need to be concerned?

Sorry to sound stupid, but what is EYP? This is my first year having chickens. I have four RIR and two barred rock, they are about thirteen weeks along now. I love checking on them and discovered they love strawberries, blueberries, and frozen cherries.

I'm a newby in Ross County. So far I really like my hens/chicks. I've had them for five weeks and believe most of them are six to seven weeks old.

I've had one land in my yard and pick up a small animal of some sort, not sure if it was a field mouse or mole. So ya, I have one nesting near by somewhere. I've seen it several times in the last few months. Here's a picture of it in the field across from my house.

We'll need to protect our girls from cats, eagles, and visiting opossum as well as the occational skunk. It's the eagles I worry about the most.

Got these hens a week ago. I know two of them are Barred Rock (black), not sure what the other four are. Any ideas?
