There's an excellent article on this site that explains everything. I have it bookmarked for myself but I cannot figure out how to copy the link to post it for you. I'll keep trying to figure it out. If anyone knows how please edumicate me.
I really want this book. I think it would be such a valuable resource for me to have.
Backyard Poultry Medicine and Surgery: A Guide for Veterinary Practitioners https://a.co/d/33GZbvB
I feel you. My hubby is 6'5" and a bean pole so even with a belt his pants sit low and his shirts ride up. The longer shirts do help a lot but only if they wear them. Maybe my ladies can help with that. LoL
Doesn't it bother him getting pecked in such a sensitive area? I'm still cracking up...
So my father wanted a puppy companion and bless his heart, the one he picked is the best bird dog I've ever seen. She got 2 chickens and 3 guinea before we finally got a handle on the situation. We up a fence around the coop and thought we were good to go. My birds have never been confined and...
:gigOMG! I'm dying here. That's freaking hilarious. Don't let your girls around the plumber. I'll have to let my ladies out when my husband has his tool bags on. I do hope they do the same thing!!!!

I think it's great too! I have feathers everywhere right now. Almost my whole flock is molting and they're so pretty I feel like it's such a waste to throw them out. So I grab the ones I like the best and put them in gallon zip lock bags. I have almost 40 birds and I think that all their...
That's good to know. Thanks for getting back to me.
I'm going to do a load of feathers tomorrow so we'll see how it goes. I'm thinking I'm going to use borax on gentle but hot. Then I shouldn't have to sterilize them I think.

My new dog loosened his leash once and attacked one of my girls, plucked get really good, she finally grew her feathers back six months later. Needless to say, he's always on a very short leash. We adopted him from city folk, they didn't know he had a huge prey drive.
I've got a hen that...
