    depends alot on which varietys you ordered.some kinds are vines some are more like bushes. and there is thorns and thornless.

    when i can i wait for the birds to come in the roost,at night. i talk to them and pet them as they come in, only 2 or 3 out of 26 don't really like it.an i touch them anyway. The 16 older birds i can alll hand feed but they won't let me pick them up, the 10 younger i can touch an pick up easyly...

    we were having eggs sucked , usaully didn't find a shell, i evenually ran into a large water mocasin in the coop.i have been spraying tea tree oil under coop and around outside of run , as long as i keep oil sprayed snakes seem to stay away, no broke eggs anymore.

    cukes should last a few years , keep in low humidity and room temp or cooler.

    i would avoid lettuce, onions, carrots,parsnips,,, they wont keep very long . beans,cole crops, corn,okra ,squash , can keep for years if stored right

    What are you planting or growing this year?

    This year i am growing tomatoes,peppers,onions,carrots,beets,purple tomatillo, okra ,lettuce,tatsoi,bak-choy, potatoes, eggplant, celery,summer squash, artichoke, asparagus,soybeans,lima beans bush beans. Rosemary,basil, sage, pinapple sage,parsley, oregano, lemon thyme...
