I recently had severely saddled air sacs in my shipped eggs. I honestly didn't think they'd even hatch. I put them on their side during lockdown with the rest of the eggs and all of them hatched!!
I'm getting ready to put some of my fertile chicken eggs in the incubator. My rooster is a lavender Americana/ black copper Marans cross. I'm assuming this makes him an Easter Egger. The eggs I'm putting in there are from the following hens:
Rhode Island Red
Black copper marans
Blue...
It looks like one very large dark area in the middle of the two air cells. I should note, I did take this egg out of the refrigerator so wondering if that has something to do with it?
This is day 9 of incubation under my broody hen. I'm thinking I might have a double yolker because it looks like there are 2 air cells and this egg is pretty large compared to the others. Any ideas?

I tried to put additional chicks under one of my hens about three days after I placed the initial chicks under her and she did not accept them. She pecked them out of her lay box and I had to put them in my brooder. Just my experience.

I feather sexed my lavender Americana as a pullet. Until recently I thought "she" was for sure a pullet. She's now 10 weeks old and the comb is looking pretty red to me. Thoughts anyone? Attached are some pics. Thanks ☺️
