    Rooster is finally crowing!

    My Buff Orpington rooster has finally crowed at about 14 weeks! He sounds like he's being strangled, though. The first time I heard him, while I was feeding the horses, I wasn't sure what that noise was. Guess he'll get better with practice. I haven't posted much but I wanted to thank everyone...

    I really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences. I also got layers first and plan to get broilers when the weather gets warmer. I had similiar thoughts about butchering day but these posts have helped. Thanks, everybody!
