We had some chicks hatch yesterday and one baby never fully detached from her egg. I'm pretty sure it was her umbilical cord (long thing going from her butt area to the egg). I left her alone for her to try and let nature do its thing, but in the meantime, all the other chicks were bumping into...
I have a baby chick that was hatched sometime today. When I went to the coop to lock it up tonight, I found it outside of the nest box with a swollen eye and bloody head. Looks like it was pecked by the older hens. Is it even worth trying to save or should I humanely put her down?
I believe I have 2 bronze turkeys, but have no idea if they're toms or hens, or one of each. I'm not sure of their ages but I do know that the bigger one is a few weeks older. How can I tell if at least one of them is a tom?
