I have a lavender Orpington rooster and a blue copper Maran rooster (10 weeks old) that need new homes. Located in Oakdale, CA. I’m 95% sure on the maran and 80% sure on the lavender. These are nice birds not from a feed store and very friendly, as they’ve been handled by humans since day...

Hi all! I drew this today and wanted to get some feedback. I have 5 hens and a 8x16 run this house will go in. I live in Northern California so cold isn’t a big concern but heat is. The labeling is a little misleading...the hen house is 4’x6’.

It occurred to me today my yellow chick might stay yellow (she’s a from a breeder in my area who is awesome from one of his project pens). I have 7 surprise chickens! Do you guys think she might be a frizzle? Her feathers just aren’t looking the same as the rest.

The cutouts are a great idea! I wanted to do just around the perimeter as you suggested unfortunatly the coop butts up against a fence we can’t dig under. But now I need to rethink how deep I dug it so they don’t injure themselves. Hmmmm oh the dilemmas. Coop progress:

I'd have to measure. I'm thinking it might be too small as well BUT, I'm not actually using the run it came attached to, I'm hardware wiring the entire bottom of the 8'c16' covered run. I looked in to other coops but I didn't want a walk in house and most of the bigger coops seem to have more...

I got this one, I caulked all the cracks and am going to change out the hardware to heavier duty stuff. I also painted it inside and out to hopefully avoid most of the warping on the cheap wood.
