My chickens have abandoned their coop. There was a predator incident that I thought could have been causing it, however, upon close inspection of the coop, the shavings (NEW! within a week/no chickens in the coop) have black spots all over them on the floor. Wondering if it could be mold or mite...
It's was in the upper 90s for two days, but has cooled off into the 60s (MN summer...haha). Found a pile that can't be older than a week of secrecy. With the hot weather, think the ones that were laid earlier are still good? Thanks!
