    I'm a new silkie owner and my little silkie girl is amazing! I'm wondering though if anyone else has problems with their silkies not seeing well? She can't seem to see things around her well because her feathers are always in her eyes and she has problems finding her way around. I'm wondering...

    Unfortunately she (who looks like is a he) kept crowing all morning, so I think it's a rooster! I don't think a hen could crow like that and I'm worried it's going to wake up our neighbours!

    Thanks for the feedback! It is the same Ancuna in both pictures. I'll keep listening in the morning to see if there's more crowing. We did have a bantam that turned out to be a rooster so maybe she's learned something from him. It's so hard to know until they lay eggs!

    We got this Ancuna for a breeder just over a month ago. They said she was a hen, but she has started crowing in the morning and strutting. She also has a pronounced comb. She's around 4.5 months old. Is she a rooster??
