The chicks made it through the cold in the coop! Tossed them out the window into the run...
The chicks made it through the cold in the coop! Tossed them out the window into the run yesterday and happiness ensued! Out of town for a week and then time to teach them using the cop door. All 17 still thriving; counted 9 pullets. Keeping 2 cockerels and putting the other 6 up for rehoming.- KenK67

IS it ok to put the roosting pole in front of a window?????
I have 2 each 36x36 windows. One on the west and one on the south wall. The north and south wall are gabled and are my main ventilation points. The other air comes up the eaves. I'm hoping with the plastic over the windows during winter still allow enough heat through and the chicks can enjoy...- KenK67
