I am 110% sure about the age, I only got 4 chicks that order (2nd picture) and (s)he was one of them. June 1, 2015 = birth date.
He sort of is, yes. He spunks up (head and tail high) when he runs around with the other chicks and can be very feisty. He holds his own around the much larger (ever...
This chick was sold to me as a True Blue Ameraucana... Turned out Splash, not a big deal, I understand Blue does not breed true.
It is my first true Aneraucana, are they all this small?? And it is looking like a pullet to me, not a roo??
It (he) is going to be 11 weeks old on Monday (same age...
I assume he is 4 weeks old because he is the same size as my other 4 week old SFH from a different breeder.... This is the other supposedly SFH chick (this one and the roo are from Greenfire Farms line, I was told):
Freckles was bought as a female, but I keep seeing "red shoulder feathers means roo", so figured I'd see what y'all thought ... 6 weeks old, I realize it is young, but any guesses appreciated! side note: (s)he is larger than the rest of my chicks its same age

Thank you!
I have only one Barnevalder, adopted her at 1 year old. She had not been handled much. But from the start she was very calm, sweet, and hardly ever runs away. She lays every other day if not every day, very consistent layer.
I do have him on some antibiotics as of yesterday. But, I don't want to be treating for the wrong thing. I was really hoping to just get some insight on what might be wrong with him. Thank you, all the same
This started about two days ago. My rooster came in with what sounded like a "stuffy nose" and acting like he did not feel well: tail hanging and head down. He has not crowed or made any normal noises. Since I've brought him inside (away from the other chickens), he has only gotten worse. I...
Does anyone have the problem of their rooster just continually backing up into things with it on and trying to "back out of it" for hours? I know stress can kill a chicken, so I am a bit concerned about it. Any tips would be helpful. He has only had it on for a day, though.
