We started raising poultry this year as a fun way to fulfill my childhood dream of having barnyard pets. We currently have five ducks and two chickens with plans to expand in the future. I am a super newbie to all things poultry, but have a background in organismal biology and have a strong interest in ornithology!
For ducks, we have two fawn and white Indian Runners, a Golden 300 hybrid, a White Layer hybrid, and a Black Swedish. As far as chickens go, we have a white Silkie and a black and partridge Silkie Cochin cross.
