    We wash any dirty eggs in warm water, with a couple drops of Dawn. I won’t break a dirty egg for fear of the dirt falling into the egg. I won’t put chicken poop in my fridge anymore than I would put dog poop in it. We give away all eggs we don’t need. We have people who buy the eggs at Walmart...

    Hi everyone. We’re back. Haven’t had chicks for a few years. We retired in Feb.23, and got our first babies on the 26th. We couldn’t wait any longer. We have 33 assorted chickens & bantams. They are almost a month old. Also have 6 baby call ducks; 2 weeks old. 6 more call ducks coming next...

    two eggs in same day!

    Our Rouon duck started laying 2 weeks ago today. She has laid an egg every day since. Today, she laid this morning, then again tonight. The second egg was soft shelled. I guess she was in such a hurry , she didn't let it harden. :P:/;)

    My Rouon started laying last Saturday. She has laid an egg every day this week. Question: Will she go broody this summer or wait until next spring? I want to know so I can save her eggs. Thank you.

    I haven't seen any turtles. I set traps last night. Something ate the bait, but I didn't catch anything. Last evening, they started setting on the bank of the pond, very close to the water. So...I still have hope. :).

    I just acquired a pair of beautiful Rouen ducks. They were Easter ducks, raised with chickens. They have never swim in anything bit a small rubber tub. Question: how do I get them on the pond?? They are scared to death of it. There house is right beside the pond. I have tried to drive them in...
