    So something like a goose wouldnt attack an intruder like a heron? Seems strange to me. They attack anything that gets in their realm, from what I've read.

    Hi, I've never owned a chicken or any livestock but we live on 2 acres and are allowed horses, chickens etc. I have an 8000 gal or so pond with goldfish that are under threat from a heron, and I was hoping I could bring in a protective rooster that could chase a heron off.
