    One tiny egg???

    I have 7 hens various ages & breeds and all have been laying large to very very large eggs for the past year. Although one is 9 yrs old - not sure about her. Two weeks ago 6 baby chicks hatched. Now we just started getting pullet sized eggs - 1 tuesday & 1 today. Who's laying them? The babies...

    Hatch all at same time?

    Thank you SarahIrl. I moved them back with momma Sat morning and 2 more hatched! So 4 on Friday, 1 on Sunday and 1 on Tuesday. Wednesday another one tried to hatch but didn't survive. All 6 are doing very well! They're even coming out of the coop with momma. And it's been cool 45-50...

    Also husband moved remaining eggs yesterday to nest in a box in barn - away from chickens - have heat lamp on to keep at right temp. Can/ should I move them back to momma?

    Four chicks hatched yesterday of 12 in coop w/momma & rest of flock (8). I candled them 3 were clear - got rid of them. Should rest of eggs stay w/ momma? Can they still hatch?
