They aren't under a heat lamp, just the general temp of our home. Most are fully feathered, except our salmon faverolle, who is 7 weeks, but still appears to have some down on her belly.
We have 6 chicks ranging in age from 6-8 weeks old. We would like to move them outside to their new coop, but the temperatures have been in the 20s at night and only in the 40s during the day. The coop is draft free and has straw they can nest in if so desired. The two older chicks have spent...
The roosters are about a year old, 11 of the hens are just under a year, and the other 6 are/were born the end of March. We didn't intend to have two roosters - one is a silkie and we were told it was female when we purchased it, but then about 2 months ago we discovered it was also a roo. It...

Thank you! The place we purchased her from vaccinates for Mareks, is it possible she still could have gotten it? We have her removed from the rest of our flock, but she is close by them. None of them have shown any symptoms of having it as well (at least not yet).
About 6 weeks ago, our relatively young Crested Cream Legbar (old enough for the coop but not laying yet) looked like she had an injured wing. She was dragging it on the ground and didn't seem to be able to move it. We tried wrapping it, but she kept managing to get it undone.
About a week...
