Today I went to check in on her and unfortunately had found she passed. I hope it was peacefully. She had a vet appointment tomorrow, but I might see if they can do a necropsy on her
Yes, but she has been separated from the flock for a few weeks now. When I first noticed she was acting weird is when I pulled her and found the first bump by her tail
The new green bump has turned normal colored and is reducing in size after an epson salt bath! Same with the lump by her tail
She’s eating and drinking perfectly fine and maintaining a steady weight. As far as I know, she hasn’t gotten injured at all which is why I was stumped. I believe she’s only a couple months away from being a year? I got her from a family member so I’m not sure her exact age unfortunately
I will definitely do that! I love this girl so it hurts to see her like this.
I do have mosquitoes around here. We live by a swamp, granted it’s a couple yards away
A bit ago I posted on here asking for help with my bantam hen. She had an injury near her tail with a large lump, assuming it was just inflammation, I tried letting her heal. But, what’s weird is that today I was checking her over and I found another large… yet green… mass on her thigh? I can...
I haven’t seen any one bothering her, she’s around the middle from what I can tell but definitely not at the bottom. The coop has a pretty big run, I only have 6 chickens in there (not including this one pictured)
I have this pretty weird injury on my bantam chicken. She’s been pretty lethargic for a good couple of days but I couldn’t figure out why. I checked if she maybe had an egg stuck but nothing was there! Just a few minutes ago, I noticed these weird bumps on her, I washed them off the best I could...
Hello, my name is Khuno! I own a small hobby farm in the suburbs of my city. I have 4 chickens and 2 ducks; my chickens are all hens and the ducks are female and male. I am very excited to ask questions and/or read about fowl in general!
I have attached some pictures of my chickens and ducks!
