Hello Everyone! I am giving away my two pet hens in the Raleigh, NC area! One is named Buttercup, weighs about 4 pounds, is a Golden Comet, and is 3 years old. Buttercup was injured in a predator attack 2 years ago and is blind in one eye and can only see a little in the other one. The other hen...
Hi Everybody! It's been a hot minute since I've posted! 😅 Since my last post I am sad to report that I lost all of my original hens except one in a dog attack. 😞 After the attack I got two more but one went missing so I currently only have two hens in my coop.
Hey everybody this is an update on my flock which I started on February, 24 2021. So next Thursday it will be my 1 year chicken keeping anniversary! I cannot believe I will have had chickens for a year it feels like just yesterday. From my original flock four remain and 2 weeks ago we got a new...
My dog thinks the chickens are playmates so she chases them around and tries to get them to play with her ball. However the chickens definitely don't see her as a playmate.:rolleyes:

I have a poodle chihuahua mix named Hazel and she is about to be 3 years old. We recently got chicks and when they were in the brooder we let her see them and she would lick them. Now my chicks are 7 weeks old and we moved them to the coop. I open their coop door in the morning and then I open...
Thank you for your input I was wondering where did you get your EEs. Mine are from Tractor Supply which I think gets their chicks shipped from Hoovers Hatchery and their EEs are said to be a cross of American EEs and European EEs which are said to be around the size of Legbars.
