I know this thread is old, but on the off chance someone can help:
I have an Isabel Orpington Rooster that crossed with my Lavender Cuckoo Orpington hens. What will the chicks look like when fully grown?
Can anyone provide me information on Isabel Cuckoo Orpingtons?
Do they mature slower than other Orpington varieties?
What age do these roosters start crowing?
I’m new to these, but familiar with Buff Orpingtons and Wyandottes.
Just an update on this: walked out this morning and heard this one crowing. So either she/he is confused, the age was wrong or Isabel Orpingtons mature much slower than my other birds.
That’s what I was thinking. I have Buff Orpingtons and at this age I definitely could tell roosters from pulleys! The man I bought the trio from said he bought it from someone as a rooster bit personally never heard him crow.
No, the only change is that it appears the hatching chicks knocked more of the shell off. The membrane is intact but there is no movement that I can see when I check the incubator periodically.

I have an egg that pipped on the bottom toward the middle. It was leaking fluid and there has been no activity. It pipped overnight. What should I do? Could the chick have died or just taking a long time to unzip?
