Pool noodle gauntlets help special needs chicken Clovey walk again.

I've got another video of her actually walking a bit, but YouTube is giving me issues and I can't upload it. I have no idea why it work either. We tried "walkers" and they were horrible and stressed her out so much. It's been a rough couple of weeks around here. Seeing her so, so happy makes it...

Pool noodle gauntlets help special needs chicken Clovey walk again.

I will go get a picture now. She is doing better with them after practicing and I imagine it will only improve as she gains strength. She can sit just fine and they do keep he up off the ground just a bit which is good for air circulation on her belly and bum.

I thought it was just bad behavior, not a need for calcium, now I realize what was happening. Also since she comes inside every night to sleep, she laid eggs all winter long with no break...

Does my chicken have a chance?

I'm the OP's mother and posted more about her situation. As of just now, Clover is doing better. Sitting upright, grooming and eating. She is outside and even moving a round a little and her legs are not stuck out in front of her anymore. I've got a modified box ready if she seems

Does my chicken have a chance?

I am the OP's Mother. Clover the chicken is a little over a year old. She does lay and has done so successful and consistently with no issues until just a couple of days ago. She was acting strange and like she was egg bound. She finally passed the egg, but then I noticed she didn't have control...
