Thanks. My son layed eyes on him really early. Beautiful colors and pattern. There is also a female pied with the same colors on her back. Just a bit lighter. Lets see if i get some more from the next clutch from their parents.
Yes she is doing better. She is eating on her own. I put her aside and give her first shot at the mealworms when I feed them. Then I put her back in and let them all get their shot.
She is still a bit weak but she drinks and eats on her own.
Thank you for your response Tony.
Would you give...
Wasn't eating this morning. I had to hand feed it all day the meal worms. Kind of force fed it a couple every 3-4 hrs and water too. the water with a dropper to it. By tonight it actually ate 4 mealworms on its own. Which brings me to the question. How many meal worms can each chick eat a day...
Thanks Tony. The RGP is REd Golden Pheasant.
The small one of the GPP chick is looking sick. It is sleeping and doesnt want to eat. I have been giving the a mix of starter and egg food. And mealworms 3 to four times a day. The other one is doing great. Do you recomend any meds to give it or...
Picked up 2 GPP chicks and 3 RGP chicks. The GPPs are 3 weeks old. Can I identify which is a male or female yet? One is larger and has thicker longer legs than the other. But other then that they are the same right now.
Thank you.
I'm new at all this. Actually haven't touched an incubator since I was 8yrs old and asked my parents for one for my birthday to hatch chicks. It's been a long time since. Starting with Red Golden and Lady Amherst pheasants. Looking for a incubator that would be good now but I can use as I move...
I'm thinking getting a pair of Roul Rouls as my next aviary specimens. How are they with other species? My Red Goldens are actually awesome with Button Quails and Gouldians I have in the same aviary. Would the Roul Rouls also be able to coincide with other birds?
Thanks
Hello all,
New on here and saw this thread. Thought, let me post up a picture of my first aviary. Hopefully get a couple more in as I add to my collection. It is 8' X 8' X 6' tall. Here I have a Pair of Red Golden Pheasants, a trio of Botton Quails and 3 Pairs of Lady Gouldian Finches.
