    Indoor Mite Treatment

I have a bit of a unique situation. We have two roosters recovering from injuries in our home. Last night my husband discovered that one rooster is infested with mites. This is a new development, as the roosters have been in the house for well over a month. Another thing to note is that we have...

Female turkey attacks when I hold other birds...

I have a female Broad Breasted White turkey that is about 3 1/2 months old. Within the last week she has started to become aggressive when I'm sitting down to hold the chickens or younger turkeys. The birds typically walk up to me or hop on my lap, so they're not squawking for help or anything...

    Calibrating incubator for summer hatches

Hello all. I currently have 2 incubators going at the moment. One is for peafowl eggs, (just placed them yesterday), and the other is for Ayam Cemani. None were shipped, so they've been handled carefully. The incubators are indoors, but I'd like to know if I should try dry-hatching both of them...

    Coccidiosis in our flock! :(

We've lost 4 chicks, (total), but so far the last two seem to be active and eating. I haven't seen any bloody stools since shortly after starting them on the Corid water. I'm also treating the other birds just in case they were exposed. So far I haven't seen any bloody stools in the runs or the...

    Coccidiosis in our flock! :(

I discovered yesterday that some of our newer chicks have Coccidiosis. They were in a cage within the main coop and three of them have died. We removed the cage, chicks, and removed all hay and litter from underneath the cage; however, my husband and I do not know how to keep this from spreading...

Probably too early to tell, but...

@NatJ Hoover's confirmed today that she is a very light colored Mystic Onyx. The person I contacted said if they are a lighter color it's usually bronze, so little Dot is a blonde Mystic Onyx. She's perfectly imperfect. 😀🥰

Yes, that's correct. My husband wants the Delawares separate from all other breeds.
