    Comb question with broody hen

    my hen is broody, her come has gotten a lot smaller and her comb and waddle are a very light pink now instead of the red it normally is. Is this a normal occurrence?

    First time hatching help!

    Y Yes I candles on day 11. Had 5 that looked good, 2 were hard to tell so I removed all non developing eggs and just left the 7. Each day since she has destroyed them. Horrible smell, no sign of any chick. Here is one of the eggs I found on day 18!

    Thank you! I love them and really want to expand my flock but hubby isn't quite on board yet. He's ok with hatching so that's what I'm trying. Today is day 22 of my first go around with no luck so if she is still broody I'm going to attempt again!
