    I highly suggest hard cloth with 1/4in pattern. I personally use this at 16 gauge and it blocks out the snow wonderfully while allowing air to pass through.

    That is a female Buff Orpington if I ever did see one (the brown one). I have a male Buff Orpington which you can see in my photo. She is so cute by the way!!! The white one is a pekin.

    I have not given my duck boiled eggs yet. You should not give duckling adult food because the nutrition ratios are way lower than what ducklings need. Ducklings need higher protein than adults when they are very little. Here is a great forum for new duck owners...

    They like our duck feed mixture of feed, birdseed mix, and corn. They also like our kiddie pool. You can train them to bring coins for food/treats. Wikihow has pages of these, that show step by step instructions. I have never heard of that movie but I will look into it!

    Our blue Swedish is named brownie even though she is grey. Haku is our buff drake, lily is our black swish and she is nothing like a lily (she is very sassy), and noir is our cayuga. We name our ducks without a rhyme or reason. We have a leopard gecko named chic (pronounced like sheek)

    First time duck parent

    our ducklings drank a lot of water daily and made quite a mess. We had a light to keep them warm on one side of the enclosure. We stuck our hands under it to made sure the light was not to hot just enough to warm the ducklings.

    No she was with our 3 other ducks but they did not huddle together. If she got to cold she could have easily gone in the coop where there is no cold wind/snow and way warmer than outside. She was having a grand time out in the blizzard.
