I'm a nurse practitioner by profession, but at present I am a breast cancer patient. I had a double mastectomy April, 2019. I finished the worst of 6 cycles of chemo and I'm on the rebound as I finish out chemo until June. My prognosis is good-not metastasis and no lymph nodes invovled. Why chickens? I am an avid, organic gardener. We moved back to Pennsylvania after 11 years in Texas and now I have land-7 acres of woods. I desire a small flock of hens for fresh eggs, their poop and companionship. My hens will be pets and I intend to spoil them. I have wanted hens for some time and now our family is ready. I have twins, ages 16 and my best friend-Mark (my husband and rock).
