    No she never has. She has been broody over 3 weeks. She's letting them crawl under her and on her, but isn't teaching them anything. I will give it time. At least they are warm. Thank you.

    Flock losing feathers under legs only

    Hi all. I have a flock of 6 (Orpington, Barred Rock, Austrolop and RIR, 2 silkies). The silkies are fine, but the other 4 are losing feathers under their legs only.     These chickens are really my 6 year old daughter's. She does much of the care for them. Nora made a spa in the backyard for me and decided to take her chickens to the Spa! Note their nail colors; green, blue, pink, orange! It was quite funny to us! (non toxic polish)
