Maybe because she’s struggling to see could be the reason why she isn’t really eating or drinking, perhaps?

That sounds interesting. It’s funny though because we don’t have any mosquitoes this time of year. We had an almost plague of them about 3 months ago, but none now. Will definitely see what I can do to boost their immunity. Also, one of the hens didn’t eat this morning, although we did get her...

Is this fowl pox or something else

Wow, thank you all so much! Since most of them already have it, should I isolate the infected birds? I feel a little reluctant to at this point because my other coop isn’t all that chicken worthy at the moment 🤣

I live pretty remote and with slow postal service; is there anything I can do to help? One of the hen’s eyes are almost completely closed over with it. Will it get better?

Hey all! Have a question for you all. I need some help identifying strange blue/black lesions on an all of our chickens faces. And treatment options. I’m not sure if it’s fowl pox or not so if you have any suggestions I’d be grateful!

Do you have to buy the worms from somewhere or just hope they find the spot you make and start...

That sounds like a good idea. Would yogurt be a good idea, instead of the milk? And should it be given on a daily basis or only every once in a while?

Thanks for all the feedback and ideas everyone! I’ve kept mealworms in the past and hope to start keeping them again here very soon😁 the chickens are also getting all our chicken-safe kitchen/table scraps as well as all the green waste from our vegetable and herb gardens. Yeah I’m really...

Anyone have any good tips and tricks that are Cheap and easy to boost protein and nutrition for chickens?

Hey everyone! I’ve been keeping chickens for several years now, usually several flocks at a time, all free range over about 1 acre areas per flock. I’ve moved and started over with a much smaller flock. The difference between this flock and the previous ones is that they can’t free range. Also...
