I just asked the people that I got the egg from and they said the only other rooster in the property is a barred Plymouth Rock. With the yellow legs and single comb I guess that's possible.

I was told the only rooster around was an Ameraucana. I was given the egg. No matter the breed, it's looking cockerel to experts. Sad day.

This one is Penny. She's 4 weeks old. She's a Amerucana x RIR. Please pullet.... I've always thought pullet but her comb looks awfully pink.

We've had chicken for a few years but this is our first hatch. We're so excited. 28 new babies. We were given some Amerucana eggs by a friend but my flock is an australorp roo and BR, SLW, BO, Amber sexlink, white leghorn hen's. [/IMG][/IMG]
