Cochins & Golden Seabright- pullets or cockerels?!

We got 5 standard cochins from my son's classroom back in May. I've been convinced only one was a roo, but am second guessing myself now. I know they are slow to mature and start laying so the red is making me question a couple of the "ladies". Also, is my Golden Seabright (about 11 weeks) a...

    English Game Chick

Okay, thanks! Not entirely surprising. Appreciate the help 😀

    English Game Chick

Dutch Bantams aren't listed as a breed Hoovers Hatchery has and I got her from TSC... maybe just poor genetics? Doesn't matter to me either way, as long as she is a she LOL

    English Game Chick

I'm not familiar with bantam breeds, with the exception of silkies, and need help sexing this little one. Somewhere between 9-11 weeks old... I also have a Golden Sebright that I cannot sex. Any tips are appreciated... that one is a bit skittish so pics are difficult.

Crele Orpington Chick... cockerel or pullet?!

Do we still agree that my ugly crele is a lady?! Hahaha

Crele Orpington Chick... cockerel or pullet?!

I appreciate the responses! I'll update again in a couple of weeks to see if we still feel the same!

Crele Orpington Chick... cockerel or pullet?!

The best roo I ever had was a lavender orpington! I'd really like this to be a pullet tho. My roo to hen ratio is insane with all my hatches this spring!

Crele Orpington Chick... cockerel or pullet?!

Hatched 4/27 - so 6 weeks old I find very little about crele orpington so I don't even have a guess at this point. Comb doesn't appear to be red and no wattles yet.

    What breed?!

That's what I was thinking, too. She was getting rid of them because she suspected they were cockerels so I figured maybe I'd get lucky!

    What breed?!

I picked up a couple chicks from a local person that claims they are 10 days old and from the "rare breed" mix at Hoover's Hatchery. They are definitely older than 10 days as they are larger than and more feathered than my almost 3-week olds. And i'm thinking that they don't fit any of the...

    Showgirl??

I bought a dozen silkie eggs from a local woman who let me know that she had "a mix flock of blue, black, splash, paint, partridge, buff, cuckoo and lavender. Also have regular feathers, satin feathers and a slim chance of frizzle. As well as showgirls with naked necks!" I stuck one of the 12...

    Silkie: Pullet or Cockerel?

She was feeling pretty and in the mood to model! 😆

    Silkie: Pullet or Cockerel?

I have this little silkie, about 8 weeks old, and I'm wondering what everyone thinks... she is the only silkie among some Blue Laced Red Wyandottes in this hatch so I don't have another chick to compare against for size or stance. Though she seems very small and never engages in any of the chest...

    Manually Turning Eggs...

Just wanted to update you all! 16 of 20 hatched! I guess I'm doing something right 😁 Also, looked back at my log and humidity was not as high I originally indicated. That was at lockdown. Guess I shouldn't post before coffee 🤣
