She is a first time mother.. I know that they can have a hard time getting the hang of things.. I have had ducks before and never had issues. But, someone decided that they were going to just drop off a duck in my yard one day, and not long after she started nesting.. -

I did everything i possibly could, I got a light, made sure he had water, even found some Nutridench. I woke up this morning to the sweet thing gone.. I also woke up to find that the mother had killed two of her ducklings.. I managed to save one. Why would she do such a thing? -

When I found it, it was very responsive, but acted like it was cold..I took it inside with me and warmed it up.. It's hard to describe it's eyes, it looks like the eyelids didn't develop all of the way. But, when I wet it's little eyes, they start to open.. But the protective layer doesn't go... -
