I mixed some in scrambled eggs but she wasn't having it! I sprinkled some over her food, she ate that really well so hopefully she got some that way. I'll do that again. She's been great all day today though, so my fingers are crossed that we're going to make it through.
Thank you for the response! I don't have tums here but I'll get some first thing in the morning. Hopefully she'll eat something for me. I tried scrambled eggs on and off today but she wasn't interested, maybe she will be tomorrow.
Yesterday I posted that my one and a half year old Ameracuna was dehydrated. I found her in her run, laying on her side next to the water, panting heavily and unable to stand. All of the other hens were completely fine, I brought her inside, put her in the tub immediately started giving her...
Thanks for the reply. I really don't know what to think. I was feeling her crop, just to check it, and she pooped all over me. It was watery but didn't seem abnormal. I put her in warm water, could it possibly be an egg? I don't know, but I tried. She pooped twice in there. She's now in her own...
1) Ameracuna, 1.5 years, maybe slightly lighter than normal
2) completely fine yesterday and this morning, this afternoon - not standing, shriveled, pale comb, was panting when I got home, overall listless. Now indoors, I've cooled her down, panting has stopped. Seems fatigued, sleepy. Does...
So, they've been on the meds for 5 days, the whole time they've acted fine; they eat, drink and run around just like normal. As of yesterday, I saw a stool that had a light pinkish spot in it; I even forced my husband to look at it because I no longer trust my own eyes. I don't know what to...
So, we saw some more pinkish stuff in the stool today, it doesn't seem any worse, not bright red, not a lot and everyone is still acting completely normal, eating and drinking, etc. but I decided to go ahead and start using Corid in the dose that you mentioned because the stool has consistently...
Thanks so much for your reply and help. I'll probably pick up some Corid tomorrow, just to have, in case I need it. When you say not to mix it with anything, do you mean the electrolytes and probiotics? Is it safe to still feed medicated chick feed with it? Thanks again for your help. This is...

I'm not sure if you can see this very well, it's just sort of tinged pinkish. It must have been a different chick because the one who did it earlier was on the other side of the brooder. It's not a lot nor is it bright red, but I don't know if it's ok either. Everyone is eating and...
Thanks, I definitely will. She's been back in the regular brooder and seems to be eating and drinking fine. She's seemed a bit more active so maybe I'm just being paranoid. I really appreciate the help and will post a pic if I get anymore "off" stool.
Thanks so much for your reply. We have the on Save a Chick electrolytes and probiotics, she is still eating and drinking so I don't think that I need to do the dropper yet. The brooders are both pretty warm but my thermometer is broke so I'm not 100% sure of the temp but none of them are...
We have 7 chicks under a week old and I've noticed some pinkish blood in stool. I think it maybe one chick in particular, I've separated her, in case it is her. She's a bit on the lethargic side. Their bedding has remained dry and clean, I do paper towels on pine shavings and change them twice a...
So, we raised chicks several years ago and had a nice little flock of three. Sadly, since then, we've lost two of them. My last girl is happy and healthy but we wanted more hens (and eggs) so we recently got six pullets (allegedly) and they are doing quite well in our brooder. I am however...
